The data center has scheduled a network maintenance on Sunday, January 17th at 2 AM Central Standard Time. The purpose of this maintenance is to replace the recent problems of gigabit switches in chi01 facility to Cisco 3560E switches. This maintenance will involve a simple cut-over from the existing switches directly to the new ones, which are already in place and operational. It will only affect servers in chi01 facility. There will be no impact to any servers located in chi02.
The maintenance window will last two hours. We will move links connected to the existing switches directly over to the new switches, port for port. After each switch is completed, we will verify that all interfaces are operational and pushing traffic. We expect this process to be completed quickly and that there should be no more than a few moments of service impact to all affected customers.
